Accounting Coordinator $20-$22/hr
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Coordinator to support our accounting and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will assist with accounts payable activities, maintain accurate financial records, and provide general administrative support. This role is well-suited for someone with a strong administrative background and experience in accounts payable processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with accounts payable processing, including invoice entry, coding, verification, and filing.
- Review invoices for accuracy and proper documentation before processing.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical accounting records.
- Support month-end accounting activities as needed.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding invoice inquiries and payment status.
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry into accounting systems.
- Perform general administrative and clerical duties to support the accounting team.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Administrative background required; accounts payable experience preferred.
- Experience processing invoices and supporting accounts payable functions.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with TimberScan and/or Sage accounting software.
- Previous experience in construction, manufacturing, or similar industries is a plus.
